Meet Jessica Grabania, 4th–8th Grade Science Teacher
We are delighted to welcome Jessica Grabania to the Our Lady Star of the Sea School community as our 4th–8th Grade Science Teacher! Jessica brings a unique and valuable blend of educational experience, military leadership, clinical insight, and a deep commitment to serving children and families.
A proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Jessica brings the discipline, leadership, resilience, and organizational skills she developed through her military service into the classroom. At the same time, her compassionate, trauma-informed approach allows her to recognize and respond to the individual needs of every child, helping students feel safe, supported, and empowered to learn.
Jessica has extensive hands-on experience working in special education, with a particular focus on supporting children with disabilities. She is also deeply involved in faith formation and currently serves as the Parish Catechetical Leader for the Parish of Saint Monica, where she helps guide children and families in their Catholic faith.
Jessica earned her B.A. in Psychology, Cum Laude, from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work through the Clinical Route. Her professional experience includes serving as a clinical intern and advocating for children and families through her work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Her dedication to advocacy reflects her belief that every child deserves to be seen, heard, encouraged, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Jessica is committed to creating a classroom environment that is structured, inclusive, engaging, and nurturing. As a science educator, she hopes to inspire students to ask questions, explore the world around them, think critically, and discover the incredible beauty and wonder of God’s creation.
Outside of the classroom, Jessica continues to serve her community through her volunteer work with CASAÂ and as a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish. When she isn't teaching or volunteering, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, painting, and gardening.
