Want to join us in making a difference? Our Lady Star of the Sea Regional School (OLSS) and the Parish of Saint Monica Atlantic City NJ, are on a mission to raise funds and donations that will help create positive impacts on our school and surrounding community.
First up: We are building a brand new OLSS Community Garden on parish grounds. Our garden will serve as a source of fresh and nutritious vegetables, fruits and herbs. The harvest from our collaborative efforts will help our community stock its shelves with the bounty from the garden. Not only that but our the OLSS Community Garden will be anchored in the academic investigation as our students measure, dig, weigh, stir, arrange and plant. The other good news is that will be partnering with students, staff, and faculty from Stockton University. They will assist us with the cleanup and the design of the garden. A community build garden such as this involves the students, parents, staff and the larger surrounding community.
Save the Date: On September 20, 2019, we will clear and clean up the lot immediately behind the school. The build-out of the OLSS Community Garden will take place over the next few weeks. We'll be there all day. Come to help us!
